Sega Saturn Optical Drive Emulator after 20 years

Post by david »

In 1994 - 1995 when PlayStation One come out there was one more big player called Sega Saturn CD. Sega combine 2 cpu (2x Hitachi SH-2 @ 28.6 MHz) - and 2 gpu (VDP1 & VDP2 video display processors) and one sound (Yamaha YMF292 ) together to be able to make most powerful console at that time. 20 years later there was no way to execute code on saturn unless you use Optical drive and burned CD (if your optics still works ).Before week a gay come with solution found in Video CD extension card on saturn that Give him chance to run native code over custom made replacement card.
