Apple believe in wireless future and they want to deliver cable less smart headphones. Thanks to apple new w1 chip all this is now possible. W1 chip seems to be very low power integrated soc with audio applifier and wireless RF frontend.New apple AirPods has infrared sensor which detects when headfones are in your ear so they only play when you are ready to listen!
