J-core J2 is an open source processor and SoC design implemented in VHDL, and using SH2 instruction set found in Sega Saturn back in 1995.
The developers used to run the code on Xilinx Spartan 6 FPGA.They Planing to put Turtle Board on Kickstarter this year and hoping to continue to SH4 64bit version used in SegaDreamcast back in 1999-2003.

Expansion – 40-pin Raspberry Pi compatible header
