PULPino open-source IOT microcontroller

PULPino is state-of-the-art 32-bit open-source microcontroller like system, based on a small RI5CY, an optimized 32-bit RISC-V core that was developed at ETH Zurich and University at Bologna. Many of the ideas are developed through research on ultra-low-power parallel processing (PULP project).

Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 821

Qualcomm introduced its next highly integrated soc processor Snapdragon 821 (MSM8996 Pro). CPU has been clocked to 2.4 GHz for the performance cores, around 2.0 GHz for the low power cores. Adreno GPU also got boost in his speed and is now running up to 650Mhz.

SiFive come with World first U500 and E300 Open Source RISC-V SoCs

SiFive will publish specifications for an SoC based high-performance Unix-capable cache-coherent 64-bit multiprocessor U500 and one using a microcontroller core E300 both based on work of the RISC-V Foundation. RISC-V instructions set is free, compared to $40,000 ARM license for startups using Cortex M0 MCU!
