The chip is 1024-core Epiphany-V RISC processor at 16nm with 4.5 Billion transistors, which is 36% more transistors than Apple's latest 4 core A10 processor at roughly the same die size. Compared to leading HPC processors the chip demonstrates an 80x advantage in processor density and a 3.6x advantage in memory density.

Olimex is making final updates on A64-OLinuXino before they launch production. In Rev.B gigabit interface works well with Micrel/Microchip PHY and result is real Gigabit bandwidth.With A64 the speed is 932Mbit i.e. very close to 1Gb.
