New SHIELD TV 4k HDR

Over at CES NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang unveiled a new version of the Shield TV. The new version will support 4K HDR for both games and movies. We can predict that the Shield is powered by the Tegra X1 processor. A model with 16GB of storage will ship later this month for US$199.99, and a Shield Pro model with 500GB storage will be available for $299.99.
Among other new features, the new Shield TV is also the first Android TV device to support Google Assistant. As you'd imagine, Google Assistant works just like it does on the company's Home device and Pixel phones, but you can also command it to play media on the Shield TV. The company also announced a companion microphone accessory for the Shield, NVIDIA Spot, which will function similarly to Amazon's Echo. Shield was already considered one of the better TV consoles available, but the upgrade to 4K and HDR (high-dynamic range) makes it even better. HDR provides deeper color and images.
